We need you!! Our workshops rely on volunteers; you don't need to know how to make a lantern (we will teach you!)- you just need to be friendly and happy to get stuck in and help new people when they arrive to make a lantern. We are looking for 2-3 lead volunteers for each workshop and then as many other willing hands as possible. If you are interested please email Lu creativeactionnetwork@googlemail.com.

The Role of Workshop Volunteers:
-
Attend all sessions you have signed up to. Arrive in plenty of time;
-
Wear one of the high-vis vests provided so that people know you’re a volunteer;
-
Help set up the equipment, inspiration boards and refreshments;
-
Welcome people who come to make lanterns and help them to get started;
-
Continue to help people who are struggling with their lanterns;
-
Help to move lanterns to storage;
-
Let people know that they can take materials away to make a lantern at home;
-
Tidy up so that the venue is left in the state you found it in and our materials are stored in a neat and tidy manner.
Workshop Leader Responsibilities:
-
Attend the sessions you have signed up to in enough time to set up the equipment;
-
Ensure the venue is well looked-after (floors are covered where glue will be used, sinks are kept clean etc.);
-
Support less experienced volunteers;
-
Supervise the session in general (be aware of health and safety, make sure people tidy up in plenty of time etc.);
-
Ensure the equipment and lanterns are carefully stored and the venue is left clean and tidy;
